I had the pleasure of attending the special book launch event, “Welcome Indian Studies Center to Institute of Asian Studies with the Book Launch – Gautama Buddha: A Political Analysis of the Life of the Buddha in the Context of India’s Economy, Politics and Culture during the Buddha’s Period,” authored by Associate Professor Vorasakdi Mahatdhanobol. This insightful event took place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Chulalongkorn University.
Organized by the Indian Embassy in Bangkok and Chulalongkorn University’s Institute of Asian Studies, Faculty of Political Science, and the Indian Studies Center, the event explored the political nuances of the Buddha’s life and his teachings’ connections to ancient India’s socio-economic and cultural landscape.
