I am delighted to share the first official poster for my upcoming film, Avyaan — A True Journey.
This poster offers a glimpse into the world we have been building over the past year — a story of music, passion, strength, and self-discovery set against the timeless backdrop of Varanasi. The three characters you see represent the heart of this film: young people navigating their identity, their art, and their roots in a rapidly changing world.
Avyaan is deeply personal to me. It grew from my lifelong connection to Indian culture and my belief that cinema can carry the depth of our traditions to a global audience. The word Avyaan itself signifies completeness and unwavering resolve — qualities I believe define the spirit of Bharat.
Directed by the internationally acclaimed Gaurav Khati, with cinematography by the celebrated Chandan Kowli, the film stars debutant Chayan Chopra as Aakash alongside Anushka Kaushik as Shivani, Omkar Kulkarni as Astik, and Navdeep Singh as Purab. Produced in collaboration with Urban Boat Films, Avyaan has been shot across the sacred ghats and hidden alleys of Varanasi — a city that became as much a character in the film as any of our actors.
